2021 Casa de Mouraz DOC Dão BIO Branco

9,95 c/ IVA

Produced from typical Dão grape varieties, cultivated in an ecological way, with absolute respect for their terroir of origin. The grapes come from 50-year-old vineyards with granite soils and average altitudes of 350m, located in Mouraz, Tondela. Natural fermentation took place in stainless steel vats for around 6 weeks. It aged for several months on its fine lees and was then racked (“battonage sur lies”). The nose shows balsamic aromas, with notes of citrus peel, melon, pear and roses. The palate is fresh, mineral and full-bodied, with a very long and refined finish. Delicious with cheese, pasta and various Italian dishes, as well as fatty fish (cod, salmon, tuna or octopus). It also goes well with white meat dishes.

Description

Casa de Mouraz was founded in 2000. That year saw the start of this project of sustainable viticulture and the production of authentic, natural wines that respect and express all the richness of their terroir of origin. All the vineyards are cultivated organically and biodynamically, and cohabit with the local fauna and flora in order to maintain the ecological balance. The grape varieties grown are more than 30 and are exclusively Portuguese. All this biodiversity, as well as the love for this place, is reflected in the personality and complexity of Casa de Mouraz’s wines.
