1968 Rozès Golden White Porto

175,00 c/ IVA

Opulent and intense on the nose, with all the elements in perfect harmony, on a base of intense raisin and chocolate notes, combined with vanilla, walnuts and hazelnuts. The palate is round, concentrated, dry, full of nuts and caramel. It has a dense, smooth texture with very well integrated acidity, providing an attractive liveliness on a long, persistent finish.

Description

Founded in Bordeaux in 1855 by Ostende Rozès, a fine wine merchant from that city, Rozès began by importing and selling Port wine. Around the 1930s, Edmond Rozès, the founder’s son, created the “Porto Rozès” brand, choosing a bottle shape that would allow the brand and the Port wine to be identified simultaneously: this is how an “old-fashioned Portuguese” coated bottle came to be, with the neck wrapped in sulphur paper and a wax-sealed stopper. Rozès is the first Port wine house founded by Frenchmen. Since 1999 it has belonged to the Vranken-Pommery Monopole group.
