Vintage Vesúvio 2013 is an intense wine with floral, currant and cassis notes and a powerful, attractive aroma, resulting from the predominance of Touriga Nacional (65%) combined with Alicante Bouschet (12%). The presence of Touriga Franca and Sousão (13% combined) adds complexity and spice. This Vesuvio is full-bodied, with long, firm tannins and a powerful palate; it will age superbly for decades. Quinta do Vesúvio produces muscular yet smooth wines with an incredibly refined structure that reflects great harmony and elegance. The Port wines are big and unctuous with juicy fruit, and at the same time with immense grace. These wines, while young, are dark red in color and always very aromatic, with hints of violets and wild spring flowers.
