2019 Casa de Mouraz DOC Dão BIO Rosé

8,90 c/ IVA

Produced from typical Dão grape varieties, cultivated in an ecological manner, with absolute respect for their terroir of origin. The grapes come from several plots of vines with an average age of around 30/40 years, with granite soils, a privileged orientation to the south and average altitudes of 300/400m. The grapes are harvested by hand in mid-September. After pressing, the must was vinified spontaneously in stainless steel vats with temperature control. It aged over the winter in vats. A very elegant wine with an orange hue and an intense aroma of raspberries, red apples and strawberries. It’s very fresh and complex on the palate, with a long finish. Very versatile, it goes well with spicy dishes with exotic flavors, sushi and sashimi, as well as salads, barbecue and white meat dishes.

Description

Casa de Mouraz was founded in 2000. That year saw the start of this project of sustainable viticulture and the production of authentic, natural wines that respect and express all the richness of their terroir of origin. All the vineyards are cultivated organically and biodynamically, and cohabit with the local fauna and flora in order to maintain the ecological balance. The grape varieties grown are more than 30 and are exclusively Portuguese. All this biodiversity, as well as the love for this place, is reflected in the personality and complexity of Casa de Mouraz’s wines.
