Port & Friends Wine Store in collaboration with Niepoort is pleased to present: TIMELESS NIEPOORT.
The Masterclass presented by Dirk Niepoort will be a journey into Niepoort’s world, through some mythical Port wines produced by the family over several generations since 1842. On display will be some rare and exclusive treasures, such as the legendary 1945 Vintage Port or the VV Port (old edition) – the best Tawny ever made. A unique and exclusive event that will feature some surprise wines.
The list of Port wines to be tasted are the following:

– 1945 Vintage
– 1952 Garrafeira
– 1970 Vintage “pota”
– 1975 LBV
– 1990 Novidade
– 2008 Bioma Vinha Velha Vintage
+ “surprise” Port wines
In addition to the Masterclass, the event also includes a lunch at the renowned 3 Pipos Restaurant. Lunch will be accompanied by Dão wines from Niepoort, and the Menu comprises the following:

Selection of breads and cornbread and Olive Oil “Quinta de Lemos” Galega
Organic Goat Cheese “Quintas de Tondela”
Cod fritters, Green eggs, Broad beans with chorizo
Paio do Lombo do Porco de Gralheira (Ham) and Provaduras do fumeiro

This is the 3rd event of the series “Provas Fora de Série” (aka “Out of the Norm” Tastings) held by Port & Friends Wine Store, aiming at the promotion of the Portuguese wine heritage.
